Autumn wedding flowers

“Winter is an etching, spring a watercolor, summer an oil painting and autumn a mosaic of them all.” Stanley Horowitz.

I love autumn and I love autumn wedding flowers. When I first sit down and chat with my couples about their wedding flowers and ideas I always say how lovely it is to use seasonal flowers. After all, that is one of the wonderful things about living here in this rainy country, each season brings with it its own special flowers and foliage. Autumn is full of beautiful seasonal flowers that will add to the uniqueness of your wedding day. In this blog I will discuss a few of my favourite autumn wedding flowers and the seasonal autumnal flowers used.

Don’t forget to let me know what you think?

Colourful Autumn wedding flowers

This asymmetric, overflowing bouquet for this beautiful bride was full of colour and seasonal autumn wedding flowers. Blue agapanthus, Celosia, Scabiosa, Echinops, Rudbeckia and Sedum - all beautiful autumn wedding flowers. Then there were a load of roses, olive, ivy and eucalyptus too.

Seasonal whites Autumn wedding bouquet

Autumn shower bouquet

Helen carried this shower bouquet of seasonal white autumn wedding flowers. Gorgeous Anemones, Ammi Visigna, Astilbe, Roses and greenery. Not the traditional colour choice of autumn wedding flowers but very seasonal and perfect for this style of dress. This bouquet shows that it’s YOUR wedding day, you do it your way and it will be perfect.

Bold autumn wedding flowers in shades of pink

This bouquet was full of autumnal wedding flowers in a bold colour palette in shades of pink. Biscuit Amaranthus, Dahlias, Rosehips, Rudbekia, Symphoricarpos berries, Hydrangea and these beautiful red oak leaves. This bouquet really is the epitome of autumn in a bridal bouquet.

Traditional Autumn wedding flowers

Autumn coloured wedding bouquets

I love this picture of the bridesmaids bouquets all in a row from Sarah and Ben’s when they were married at Caerphiilly Castle on a beautiful Autumnal day. These Autumn wedding flowers are a more traditional autumnal colour. These beauties comprised of Chocolate Cosmos, Dahlias, Skimmia, Scabiosa seed heads, Hypericum berries, little pine cones and Roses. What do think of these beauties?

Soft white Autumn wedding flowers

Autumn wedding flowers don’t have to mean all orange, brown and red tones. In this hand tie bouquet for a November wedding I have used more silver and ‘nude’ tones. Those seasonal anemones are absolutely stunning alongside Brunia berries, white Eryngium, Quicksand Roses and Senecia Cineraria foliage. I love this image of this timeless bridal bouquet.

Caramel Autumn wedding flowers

This picture of the groom holding the bridal bouquet is perfection. This wedding is featured on my gallery page, please click HERE to see more of this beautiful wedding. Lily wanted a bouquet which was more caramel in tone. Her loose style bouquet was full of Autumn wedding flowers, Sedum, Rosehips, Crocosmia, Grasses, Astrantia, Thistle, Ranunculus and berried foliage. Those Toffee Roses stole the show. This really was a special bouquet and one of my all time favourites.

That’s all for now. What do you think? Do you have a favourite bouquet? Are autumn wedding flowers for you? As you can see there is such a variety of flowers and colours to choose from so you can have unique, beautiful, wedding flowers.
