Christmas Wreath-Making Classes Cardiff 2026

Bring a little Christmas magic home with you, come make something beautiful

There's something about the run-up to Christmas, a particular kind of magic; the twinkle of lights in the dark evenings, that feeling of the year slowing down. My Cardiff wreath making workshops are back for another year, and they're my favourite way to bottle a little of that magic; a cosy afternoon that ends with a beautiful wreath. Picture this; Christmas music, the scent of spruce and mulled wine and a hand-crafted wreath hanging on your own front door.

What makes my wreath classes so popular?

A wreath that's truly yours.

No two wreaths ever look the same. You'll pick your own ribbon, berries, dried flowers and trimmings from the decoration table and build something that suits your personality, front door and nobody else's.

A proper festive atmosphere.

Mulled wine on the stove, mince pies on the table, Christmas songs playing quietly in the background. It's less "workshop" and more "excuse to enjoy the season."

No rush, no stress.

Classes generally run two hours, though I'm never one to hurry you out the door if you need a little longer to finish.

Someone who actually knows what they're doing.

I'm Anne-Marie, and I've been working with flowers for 19+ years and teaching wreath making since well before it became the trendy thing it is now. Expect friendly, hands-on guidance the whole way through, not a demo you watch from the back row.

Thinking of it as a gift?

A place on one of these classes makes a genuinely different kind of Christmas present. Book two spots and turn it into an outing with a friend, your mum, or your other half. After all this is far more memorable than another candle (just saying).

Your questions, answered

How long does it actually take? Around two hours for most people, sometimes a touch longer.

I've never done anything like this, is that okay? More than okay. Most people who come along have zero craft background, and I walk everyone through each stage as we go. First-timers are genuinely the majority in most classes.

What if I'm not the "creative type"? Honestly, that thought disappears about ten minutes in. I'll guide you through choosing foliage and wiring the wreath properly, and you'll leave with something you're proud to hang up. I promise.

Should I bring anything with me? Everything's provided. If there's something specific you're after for eg, a wreath heavy on red berries bring it along and we'll work it in.

Will it survive past Christmas Day? Easily into the New Year and beyond, some of my past students have even dried theirs out to keep for years afterwards.

What if I get stuck partway through? That's what I'm there for. I've never had anyone leave without a finished wreath they're happy with.

Think of it as a couple of hours to yourself; carols playing, mulled wine on the go, mince pie in hand, hands busy with something other than a phone.

The price is £49.50, same as it's been the last few years, and full payment is taken at the time of booking.

That covers your materials, tea and coffee, mulled wine and mince pies, everything you need for the session.

Spaces are limited, so if you're interested, get in touch sooner rather than later.

Don’t believe me when I tell you how much you will love this class? Here are a couple of reviews I received from last year.

“Did a festive wreath making class with Anne at Petal Power and we had such a lovely afternoon. Anne’s enthusiasm was infectious, and she guided us to making some fab wreaths, all while listening to Christmas music and enjoying a glass of mulled wine and a mince pie! Highly recommend! I look forward to next year!”

“Anne-Marie is so welcoming, encouraging, informative and funny! We had such a lovely afternoon learning how to create our beautiful wreathes under her wise instruction and guidance. There were so many decorative options and an extra treat with the mulled wine and mince pie at half time! We are delighted with our wreathes and had such a lovely, festive afternoon. Highly recommend!”
